Challenge:
Seattle Children's Hospital needed to define, select and deploy a Document Management solution for their laboratory.

Action:

BPP was asked to review the current state of the laboratory with regards to the current process for filing and retrieving documents, to assist in the selection process of a scanning solution for the labs more than 600,000 pages of data annually, and to assist in the development of policies and procedures for the labs scanning solution. 

Result:
With the assistance of BPP, Children's Laboratory successfully defined their document imaging requirements, issued an RFP for a document management solution, evaluated five document management vendors and two capture vendors and ultimately selected one vendor to handle their document management requirements and one vendor to handle their capture requirements - within 90 days. 


The Great Seal of Missouri

Challenge: 
The State of Missouri needed to define their system requirements for a statewide ECM system.

Action: 
BPP was asked to review the current state of ECM adoption throughout the state, to define functional and technical requirements by agency, to identify and evaluate a shortlist of vendors, to prepare a project implementation plan and preliminary budget and to make a recommendation on a technology platform for the state. 

Result: 
Over a period of twelve months, BPP conducted more than 120 interviews across 20 executive agencies, their departments, divisions, sections and functional work areas across the state. 

Through site visits, in-person interviews, surveys, audits and related data gathering and project facilitation approaches, BPP successfully completed and delivered a comprehensive technology assessment, individual agency ECM requirements, project plans, cost benefit analyses and program budget, and vendor recommendations to the State of Missouri for review by the state's Technology Division.



Banfield, The Pet Hospital

Challenge:
The Human Resources and Accounting departments at Banfield, The Pet Hospital were moving to a new facility and they were told that "no file cabinets were to be moved."  The solution needed to be implemented onsite and it needed to utilize Banfield's existing scanning infrastructure and personnel.  Additionally, the scanning project needed to be completed within 90 days.

Action:
BPP was asked to assess the current process for filing and retrieving documents and define a scanning solution to convert 1.3 million pages of HR and Accounting documents and to develop policies and procedures for day-forward scanning. 

Result:
Banfield is now able to quickly access all of their scanned documents electronically. Having this capability provides immediate access while ensuring document security and data integrity. Customer service has been enhanced significantly and turn around time has improved dramatically.


  
North Coast Electric

Challenge:
North Coast Electric Company has numerous locations throughout the Pacific Northwest. The Human Resources department needed quick and secure access to HR information. Paper files were difficult to access and the critical information needed to be "online".

Action:
BPP was engaged to facilitate the scanning, indexing and data conversion of tens of thousands of pages of confidential "active" personnel documents to electronic images. BPP delivered the project ahead of schedule and on budget.

Result:
North Coast Electric is now able to quickly access all HR documents which were imaged by BPP. Having this capability allows improved access and increased data availability and integrity. HR service has been enhanced significantly and turn around time on inquiries has improved dramatically.
